Cooking Process
Keep millet vermicelli immersed in water for 2-5 minutes along with salt. Drain water immediately using a strainer. Steam it as per any method or you can use as it is. Heat oil in a pan, season with mustard seeds, split black gram, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Saute onions, salt, green chilli (or red chilli powder) and ginger until the onion turns translucent. When done add millet vermicelli and stir gently. Steam for a minute. Switch off and cover it for two minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves. A little drizzle of ghee would be nice.
